This post is about oversharing on Social Media. I will admit in the past I have not done a very good job of keeping stuff private. I want to share my knowledge and passions and life with the internet but at some point, you have to draw the line and keep things private.
How much is too much?
I think too much is when you constantly have them in every Instagram photo or in every blog post or youtube video. Too much is when the internet knows about your fights and struggles. When the internet is predicting when you’ll break up. Too much is talking about your sex life with your partner. When I say talking about your sex life, I mean saying this like “He has this size penis.” or “He doesn’t know what he’s doing.” That is so incredibly rude to your SO. I don’t care if your bragging or insulting your SO.
What about people wanting to know more about you?
There are more than enough social media platforms to gain insight or knowledge about a blogger or influencer. We have blogs, youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Linkedin, Pinterest, and Snapchat. The multitude of different avenues to gain information is unreal.
I can assure you or anyone else can reach me through any of my social media accounts. I and others even have old school things like Askfm and Tumblr which isn’t really old school but still not new.
What about your next relationship?
I will probably be keeping my next relationship under wraps for a while once it starts. I have been on dates since my breakup. Some good…some bad. I have some pretty funny or interesting Tinder/Match fails. If you want to read you can click here for part one or click here for part two.
I don’t want to throw someone who isn’t an “Internet” person on my blog or social media accounts. It’s not fair to them or our budding relationship. I also don’t want to have family and friends and strangers that read my blog to be all up in my relationship. Hence, why I haven’t really talked about dating or seeing anyone to extended family.
If you want, you can follow me on Snapchat: @caralynn97 and at Askfm: @cara_lynn97. I answer a lot of questions on there so feel free to ask as well. Also, please be sure to follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, and Facebook. If you would like, you can share this on your social media accounts! Did you see my last post?
