Trip to New York

So, I recently went to new york last week in case I didn’t say anything about it. Well, we headed up there on Thursday the 28th. We got there Friday the 29th at 5:45 am.

Friday, September 29th:

We arrived in New York at 5:45 am. We tried to go to Bruegger’s bagels. We, unfortunately, didn’t get bagels. They had an oven malfunction! We got to my grandparent’s house and unloaded the car. Yes, we drove it takes 12 hours to get to New York from North Carolina. We got a couple of hours of sleep and then we were ready for the rest of the day. We went to the apple store in the Crossgates Mall. My mom’s Ipad wasn’t working so we went to get it fixed. While waiting we went to Lush and I picked up a divine avobath bath bomb. Afterward, we went to a hot dog place near Troy. Then on the way back, we stopped at Stewart’s for their Ice coffee (obviously Stewart’s has better coffee than Dunkin donut or starbucks. Then we hung out around my grandparent’s house with my cousin. After that, we went out to eat.

If you want a video or post on my makeup from this photo, Let me know!

Saturday, September 30th:

We got up relatively early. We spent enough time getting lost near Sacandaga Lake, New York. We drove around half of the lake. None of us had any cell service. It was fun!

Then we found a viewing area so I stood on the guardrail in heels with my camera in hand. I could’ve dropped my camera. Let’s be real, I didn’t care about the fact that I could’ve gotten hurt. I’m just happy I didn’t drop my camera. Also, a couple that was there with us kept giving me a strange look. Have they never seen a girl in heels with a DSLR standing on a guard rail while there is the potential fall!?

Sunday, October 1st:

We ran errands. Then I spent the morning getting ready for my aunt’s 80th birthday party. The party was at a country club near Albany. Everyone was told to arrive at 1:30 pm. We were talking and mingling with other family and my aunt’s friends. The party decor was really cute and autumn-themed. The cupcakes looked like they had changing leaves on them. The tables had really cute cardboard leaves cutouts for people to write messages to my aunt on.

My aunt was so surprised that my mom, brother and I were there. She wasn’t expecting a surprise birthday party. She kept talking about how her hair wasn’t styled and that she wasn’t wearing makeup.

Monday, October 2nd:

So we had a packed four days in New York. We got into gear and went to go Apple Picking. I, of course, got plenty of photos. You will have to wait for an outfit post which will come later this week or next week.

Then we went to my aunt Helen’s house for lunch. She is such a good cook. Every time we go to New York we always have lunch with her at least once.

Then we went to my Auntie Ann’s house to hang out with her and some other relatives.
