Hit the Road (and Chaos) in RV There Yet? — The Ultimate Co-Op Camping Adventure

Co-op games have always held a special place in my heart—especially the ones where you can kick back with friends and, if you’re lucky, unleash a little chaos. Good co-op games are rare, but we never stop hunting for them. My latest discovery? RV There Yet?, an indie gem from Nuggets Entertainment. After countless hours navigating its wild roads with my friend and anime specialist, Ajith, I can confidently say: this game is the ultimate chill hangout for gamers who love a little unpredictability.

A Road Trip Gone Hilariously Wrong

We’ve all dreamed of that epic road trip with friends—whether it’s a weekend camping trip by the riverside or a climb into the high mountains. It’s never really about the destination; it’s the laughs, the chaos, and the memories along the way.

RV There Yet? captures that perfectly… and then cranks it up to eleven. The game kicks off as your camping trip ends and it’s time to head home. There’s just one problem: the road back to the highway is blocked. Naturally, the solution? Go off-road.

Off-roading sounds simple… until you realize you’re piloting a massive, fragile caravan that threatens to fall apart at the slightest bump, over treacherous terrain, with wildlife ready to pounce at every turn. Luckily, you’re not alone. In RV There Yet?, friends are your lifeline… hopefully reliable ones.

A Surprisingly Realistic Road Trip

One of the game’s standout features is how grounded its mechanics feel. Driving isn’t just point-and-go—you need actual driving skills. Gears must be changed manually, maps are physical items your friends must read and direct you with, and survival tasks like cooking, refueling, repairing, and storing critical items are all hands-on.

Miss storing your bear spray or antidotes? That next bear or snake encounter could be your last. Planning is key, and sharing responsibilities with friends turns what could be tedious into a dynamic, hilarious group activity.

Communication is Everything

The secret sauce in RV There Yet? is simple: communication. Jump on a voice call, use Discord, or embrace the in-game proximity chat and Walkie Talkies for a more authentic road-trip feel. You’ll need it—driving alone while cooking, navigating, and fending off wildlife is impossible. Half the screen is blocked at times, so trusting your friends is essential.

Don’t Be Afraid to Experiment

The game rewards creativity. There’s rarely one “correct” path. During one section, Ajith and I saw ramps and decided to jump a boulder in third gear. Did we get stuck afterward? Yes. But with the winch, we climbed right back up. RV There Yet? won’t hold your hand—it gives you tools and freedom to try ridiculous ideas, and those wild moments are the ones you’ll never forget.

The Verdict

RV There Yet? perfectly captures the chaotic magic of a road trip with friends, all from the comfort of your living room (coffee optional, chaos guaranteed). It may test your patience, strain your friendships, and leave you laughing until your sides hurt—but surviving together only strengthens those bonds.

From driving off cliffs to tossing friends to bears, this game is full of unforgettable shenanigans. So, have you taken the caravan for a spin yet—or are you still planning your ultimate camping trip? Share your adventures in the comments below!
